Eset Security Review

For the price ESET’s suite of products is one of the top. Its malware detection rate is close to perfection and the suite comes with an array of useful features with a tiny footprint. The Android package has an anti-theft function to help you locate your lost phone. The premium version comes with parental controls, a secure browser and a passcode manager. The features to protect your network include a firewall as well as the option to scan your home devices for vulnerabilities, are also excellent.

One of the best is SysInspector. It’s an excellent tool that takes a snapshot of your system and highlights running processes and important Registry entries, and other details. It can be intimidating for those who are new to the field. However, if you are familiar with extended task managers like the ones in Sysinternals’ process explorer you will feel right at comfortable.

Scheduling scans on demand is a fantastic feature. This is a good alternative to real-time protection and it’s quick and simple to set up. It’s just a shame that ESET does not integrate this with other scheduling tasks and its UI makes it more difficult to find than its rivals.

Other important features include a powerful form filler for online banking, a great spam filter that gets the highest scores in our tests, and a very capable password manager that’s easy to use. The password manager is available in the premium version and requires a separate ESET account, but it performs about as well as the other standalone solutions I’ve tested.
